Mulch

mulch

Our Mulch is produced on site throughout the season. We always grind virgin hardwood. No pallets or construction debris is used.

RW Struck dyed mulches are ground twice using a 1″ screen which produces a fine mulch. The second time it is ground, it’s also dyed which allows the dye to penetrate into the wood. We use only natural dyes on our dyed mulches.

Dyed mulches usually hold their color for at least one season and sometimes two seasons. Environmental conditions will affect how long the mulch color will last. Conditions that will affect it is sunlight, shade, rain, and the amount of watering that the mulch is exposed to. Allow mulch to dry 24 – 48 hours before you do any watering. If mulch isn’t allowed to dry before a downpour, some of the dye may wash off.

We are sure you’ll find our mulch to suit your gardening needs. For more information and to order please contact us.

Our most popular color is dyed with carbon which produces the blackest of blacks. Black carbon dye is a premium dye and costs almost three times as much as black iron oxide dye.
